The Owner of All Used Oldsmobile
Eventually, he produced a gasoline-powered oldsmobile vehicle that seated four persons and could do eighteen miles per hour on level ground. On August 21,1897, Olds, Edward W. Sparrow, Eugene F. Cooley, Arthur C. Stebbins, Samuel L. Smith, Frank G. Clark, Fred M. Seibly, and Alfred Beamer formed the Olds Motor Vehicle Company, the forerunner of the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors.
The Curve of All Used Oldsmobile
In 1901, Olds decided to concentrate his efforts on the inexpensive runabout.34 This became the “merry All Used Oldsmobile,” famed in song35 and story. Known as the “ curved-dash All Used Oldsmobile” because the floor curved upward in front of the vehicle to form the dashboard of the All Used Oldsmobile.
Early Days of All Used Oldsmobile
In August 1897 a Lansing-based group of investors headed by Edward W. Spartow, who had made a fortune in real estare, including northern Michigan timber and mineral lands, joined with All Used Oldsmobile to form the Olds Motor Vehicle Company.
Last Days of All Used Oldsmobile
The last production day of the company was on April 29, 2004 and the last car built was an All Used Oldsmobile Alero GLS 4-door sedan. The All Used Oldsmobile vehicle was signed by the company's assembly line workers. The car was displayed at the RE Olds Transportation Museum which is located in Lansing, Michigan.
