With today’s fuel prices, fuel efficiency is important.  Here are a few tips to get the most out of your fuel:

Keep your vehicle well maintained

  • Keep your engine properly tuned
  • Make sure your tires are properly inflated
  • Use the recommended grade of motor oil
  • Use the proper octane level

Drive more efficiently

  • Observe the posted speed limit – Gas mileage decreases rapidly at speeds above 60 miles per hour
  • Remove excess weight
  • Avoid excess Idling
  • Use your cruise control
  • Use overdrive gears
  • Don’t drive aggressively
  • Avoid packing items on top of your vehicle

Purchase a more fuel efficient vehicle
